It's almost time

It is finally here. Thursday is the big day. Meet at the Church at 10:00 AM. 10:30 AM head to Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. Fly from Atlanta to New York (JFK). From New York to Dubai, from Dubai to Cochi, IN. Take a 2 hour bus ride to Kottayam. All this in 35 hours.

India is 10 hours 30 minutes ahead of Atlanta. So... 1:oo PM in Atlanta is 11:30 PM in India.

Full Steam Ahead

I had my stress test. NO blockage. NO BLOCKAGE of my heart.

It's on to India. I leave in 6 days.

Still boggles my mind. I checked on the flight of my other compatriots last night at midnight. They left JFK at 11:00 so they had been in the air for an hour. I go to bed sleep 6 hours and just now check. They are about 3 hours away from Dubai. amazing.

India is one step closer

Just received notification my India tourist visa was approved!!! I should have it my hot little hands early next week.

Cardiology Hurry up and wait

Well... I saw the cardiologist on Thursday. After lots of talking and questions and prodding I had two choices, or should I say the Doctor said I had two options (not my choice but his) either a Heart Catheterization or a Nuclear Stress Test. Thank goodness he chose the second one. I get to have a stress test on Wednesday the 8. It will last about 4 hours. I was told to bring my work out clothes.

Keep me in your prayers.

6th grade again.

O the joy the joy. I am in 6th grade again. No, not the algebra I took back in 1969. No not the shop I took to learn how to make birdhouse or tune an engine. But the 6th grade of 2012. Where I have to help my 12 year create a movie using iMovie on her MacBook. My how times change. She has to have opening credits end credit scroll transitions, background music the whole nine yards.

I swear if I'm not looking the lowest common denominator in fractions or the Least Common Multiple. (By the way the least common multiple of 7 and 41 is 1) Then there is the Greatest Common Factor which would be 287. But I digress or is that egress. (I thought Egress was a bird but that's Egrets)

Good night

Save my spot on the Planet. I'll see you tomorrow.

Today - Now - This minute.

It is getting close now. My trip, with my wife Claudia and daughter Sydney, to Kottayam, India to visit a tea plantation in the Ghat Mountains.

Passports are renewed (well in the process) next the tourist visa. Have most all the shots except one. Typhoid booster shots are hard to find but I know where to get it just have to make the appointment.

Leaving on February 23, 2012 from Atlanta to JFK in New York. From there a 12 hours flight to Dubai. from there a 3 -4 hours flight to Kochi, India. Then a bus ride to Kottayam,

It is hard to grasp. We leave at 11:00 PM Thursday and get to India Saturday morning. Friday is just... up in the air.

Coming back is all one day. We leave at 4:30 AM on a Saturday and arrive THAT NIGHT at 8:30 PM. I was told "Yep you get your day back." I retorted, "I don't call making a day last 37 hours getting my day back.

Until later
